The clips hold it tight (and much cleaner looking than ugly corner straps IMO). It's not going anywhere the way it's held in there. The leather is decent quality, I'm sure nothing like the quality of the $80-$100 cases, but just fine IMO.
I was actually pleasantly surprised by the quality for $30.
