There are a couple of small traffic circles in my area which I use regularly. Mostly they work OK (the small size is OK for the amount of traffic except when a bus stops nearby). The only problem is the occasional confused driver. There are signs at each entrance indicating that one must yield to traffic already in the circle, and nobody seems to have a problem doing this. The problem comes when someone who has already entered the circle seems to think they need to yield to someone waiting at the next entrance, so the person already in the circle stops and holds up traffic. I don't know why they can't figure out that if they had to yield to traffic when they entered the circle, other incoming traffic will do likewise. Fortunately this doesn't happen very often.
