Finished it. Decent book although it's a step down from The Story of the Stone which itself was a step down from the brilliant The Bridge of Birds so overall just good. Worth reading the trilogy though I think.

With a week to go I really should pick up Making History again (I did start it) but I went to the library yesterday and so I fancy squeezing in a short one, which is Emily St John Mandel's Last Night in Montreal. I loved Station Eleven and I'm hoping this will be good too.
