I recommend NOT to update automatically to the current fw 5.9.x. Better sideload 5.8.11 from Amazon's server and update to this fw using UYK menu entry. 5.8.11 has the big functional advantage to give you finer boldness settings for AZW3/KFX books, and it still allows to use Active Document files ("Kindlets"), e.g. for KUAL and Vlasovsoft's CoolReader. The latter feature will finally go when upgrading to anything above this version.
