A couple of potential workarounds:

1. Use separate fields for Volume and Number.

2. Use a longer number for the series.

For example, if it's Volume 90 Number 1, use 90001. For Volume 90 Number 100, you would use 90100.

I have a media library for movies and TV shows, and I use this method for TV shows. 1-2 digits for the season and 3 digits for the episode within the season. As long as you're careful with your zeroes, it works fine.
