Kindle sent me a notification, as they do every week about this time, of a new round of "Kindle Exclusives." If you've been a purchaser of Kindle books for a while, you may wish to skip the next two paragraphs; if you're a newbie, listen up.
Amazon and Audible create these things called "Whispersync deals;" they're mentioned on the webpages of the Kindle ebooks
that have them. In short: you buy the ebook, and you can get the corresponding audiobook cheaper than you would by buying the audio by itself.
Kindle Exclusives (ebooks published by Amazon or one of its many imprints) generally have less expensive ebooks, to begin with, than non-Kindle Exclusives and, therefore, offer a greater likelihood of better WS deals. But when a Kindle Exclusive ebook, that has a WS deal for it, is
marked down, the net price for the audio can become absurdly cheap.
This link is
for my own custom search for only those ebooks which have WS audio narration and 4-star or above ratings, and they are sorted by price from low to high. But you don't need me--here's
the "new" round of all of the Kindle Exclusive deals (I put "new" in quotation marks, because there are a lot of repeats). Amazon will let you search and sort these in a myriad of ways.
