My Kobo Mini is very usable, but compared to a Sony PRS-350 its screen is kind of "anemic" -- duller fonts. In my case (at least) I don't think I have a defective screen as the pictures of Kobo Minis I've found pictured next to Touches pretty much match what I've got. I think the Sony screens just spoiled me.
