Mom no doubt read to me and when I was 3 she took me to the library to get my own card. Of course I couldn't read back then but she would read them to me. I'm sure I drove her up the wall with all the Dr. Seuss books I borrowed from the library. I took part in the summer reading program at our local library every summer and always read more books than I had estimated that I would. Many is the night when she would say, "put down the book, turn out the light, and go to sleep."
Like some others here I could probably start my own library as I have collected so many books over the years. Now days of course I buy more ebooks than paper ones. Thanks mom, I miss you.
