Note: I had posted the following on another thread, where it didn't belong. I checked, and the price is still good, however. G.
I post
every book by Steven Raichlen that I haven't (or someone else hasn't) posted before. And I buy every one for myself. I think that his books are that good.
This one by Raichlen is fairly new, having been published less than a year ago.
It's
Barbecue Sauces, Rubs, and Marinades--Bastes, Butters & Glazes, Too. It seems to me that all of the Raichlen books are substantial in size. At any rate, this one is a hefty 352 pages. And it seems to me that all of Raichlen's books have great ratings; with a 4.8-star rating, from 111 ratings, at Amazon, this is certainly no exception.
According to
ereaderiq.com, the list price for the digital format of this book is $9.58. If that is the case, you can save 79% right now, because the ebook is marked down to
$1.99.
In case you're interested in the description/sales pitch for the book, here is what it is at Amazon:
Barbecue sauces, rubs, and marinades are every griller’s secret weapon—the flavor boosters that give grilled food its character, personality, depth, and soul.
Steven Raichlen, America’s “master griller” (Esquire), has completely updated and revised his bestselling encyclopedia of chile-fired rubs, lemony marinades, buttery bastes, pack-a-wallop sauces, plus mops, slathers, sambals, and chutneys. It’s a cornucopia of all the latest flavor trends, drawing from irresistible Thai, Mexican, Indian, Cajun, Jamaican, Italian, and French cuisines, as well as those building blocks from America’s own barbecue belt.
There are over 200 recipes in all, including a full sampler of dinner recipes using the sauces. And the book now has full-color photographs throughout. It’s the essential companion cookbook for every at-home pitmaster looking to up his or her game.
