Yes, I’ve been waiting for this feature for awhile.

Slide Over is also available (if the other app does not support Split View, or on some older iPads that do not support Split View).

I wish it was possible to determine which apps support Split View without trial and error (e.g. some superimposed icon that appears when Dock is overlaid, when browsing App Store etc.).

Also there is now Continuous Scrolling mode — though it is a very basic implementation at present (needs ability to annotate, Speak Screen support, more efficient navigation).

My #1 feature request at this point is for them to add keyboard shortcuts/navigation. I often have external keyboard hooked up and it would be nice to be able to turn pages with cursor keys or using one of those smaller thingies that let you page through a slide deck or photo album. They can start with doing everything iBooks does with keyboards and go from there.
