3. Would you consider it for serious note taking or is pen & paper still better? That is for lecture notes, diary writing, idea sketching, taking notes while reading a physical book, etc.
4. How's the pressure sensitivity?
5. How is the rendering? Is it largely smooth, or are there a lot of black flashes?
6. If you take epub notes (split view) and then change the font size - what happens?
7. If you make pdf annotations and later change the zoom, do the annotations render correctly?
I realize these are a lot of questions and that you don't have any particular incentive to answer them, so no pressure. But it would be great to get some thoughts, in particular in regards to questions 1-3

Not used extensively enough to comment on battery life, but its very good (days of use) if Wifi is mostly off. With Wifi on, definetely better than Max 2 with the firmware it had when I tested it back in January, but will probably improve with better firmware. The whole device seems more responsive than Max 2, including as others have said, much less reflectiveness of the screen. At least early batches of Max 2 were almost glossy.
Rendering is very smooth, very few black flashes, but there is an issue with third party apps in that I don’t see a straightforward way to force a manual refresh of the screen - has anyone come across it, or where in settings can the shortcut be set?
Drive apps - I use OneDrive, no issues there. I use SwiftKey as soft keyboard whilst marking annotations, works like a charm in predictive swipe mode. I have downloaded to device and gone offline so far to turn Wifi off and save battery, will test other scenarios.
Will test epub et all. I haven’t yet used the stylus (included one HAS clip, by the way), due to concerns over permanent scratches on the screen, as witnessed by Max 2 owners. Will start using it once concerns have been allayed.
