That's an extreme understatement. Glare on an LCD screen (at least the ones I've used) is much, much worse than the glare from an eInk's screen. And, even with glare, the eInk eReader is readable. That can't be said for standard LCD screens in bright sunlight. (I say "standard" but I've never experienced the "non-standard" ones that are said to be see-able in bright sunlight.)
