I've been called several times, served once and was selected as alternate juror once. The rest were either settled or I was rejected by one of the attorneys.

The worst part of the experiences is the paper work required to get my pay straitened out. My employer pays for jury duty, but I have to reimburse them for any jury pay. that usually takes six weeks to three months then I have to write a check for whatever the amount was.

Paper checks, how archaic! Those are often the only checks I write in the course of a year. Everything else is electronic.
