It sure does Charlie. Here on O`ahu we have volcanic dyke water in most places.
My wife is retired from the Honolulu Board of Water supply and the Hawaii Dept. of Land and Natural Resources (Waters Division), so I have it on competent authority that we indeed have the best tap water in the world. The military being the military insists on chlorinating it anyway, YUK!
