I noticed that the battery is running very fast too, is it?

someone with the same problem? Any solution?

Thanks a lot!

What you are seeing there is severe ghosting. This is a normal artifact of using an eInk screen but the inverted screen makes it a lot more visible because so much of the screen is black.

On my Kobo when I am using Night Mode, I set the screen refresh to every page -- the flashing from that is preferable in my opinion. I don't have a Kindle handy but the page refresh should be settable from Settings/Reading Options if my memory serves me well.

The severity of the ghosting does seem to vary between devices or perhaps some people are just less affected by the ghosting.
