I'm reading of complaints about the battery of the Kindle Oasis 2. The original Kindle is 10.4oz. The KO2 is 6.8oz. I've not read of complaints that the original Kindle s too heavy. I don't think 3.6oz is all that much. If the KO2 was 10.4oz, then the battery could be larger and have more power between charges. Also, the original Kindle was not as thin. We got along find with thicker/heavier devices and I didn't see complaining that it's too heavy and too thick. If give the choice of the KO2 as it is or a KO3 that's thicker/heavier with noticeably better battery life, I would go for the KO3.
