Not sure if this approach appeals, but...

It appears that the exported pngs are stored in directories under the note directory -- which IIUC is accessible to other apps on the device. If using termux is palatable, one might install some of the aforementioned bits such as imagemagick in termux, and write an appropriate shell script to perform the conversion.

It's kind of circuitous and hacky, but possibly preferable to having to move stuff off of the device...

Also, I think there are image to pdf conversion apps out there -- I tried a few, but didn't find one that worked well or wasn't too much manual work. May be some one else knows a good option.
