Yes, this is probably it. I also do not like the font(s) itself (not just the size) of pbooks. And the weight, and the difficulty turning pages as compared to ereaders. And the paper itself (becomes dirty with use).

I noticed as well that I am much more willing to give up on a book I did not pay for (as much). Sometimes I force myself to give the book a fair chance and at least try the first few chapters.
