In practice, I would use different readers (native, Librera, PDF reader...)
Which is also what I would do in the current state, i.e. without the multi-window split-screen feature, if I had to jump frequently from document to document: many apps and the "recent tasks" icon.
Until a good app implements multi-document opening... Ivan told me that he was considering the feature, but that it would take a lot of development time.
