There is no mention in so many words in the posted directions.
Read the PM I sent you. That tells you what will happen to the jail break when you install a different (consumer) firmware image.
(I can change the PM boiler plate a lot quicker than I can change the instruction master.)
Consumers (end users) need to run a consumer firmware.
At least if they have any hope that anything they get from this site (or Amazon) will work as intended.
(Firmware) Developers sometimes do not run a consumer firmware, the device will not melt down, while they learn about the system.

The next update to the instructions does include the update to consumer firmware step (with links to Amazon server for the images).
The currently posted version of the instructions does have a series error in it -
But your well past that point now.
I really think that the Oasis units build in the first production run for the device introduction last year are all sold (and probably updated) by now.
So updating the directions is a lower priority now than months ago when everything was new.
I will try to get the updated directions pushed to the repo (and otherwise published) later today.
After testing the KUAL-fix and re-testing the USBnetworking package.
The delay is so I can include that information also.
