The Preserve Entities feature is not a secret. Those who need nnbsp chars to be more visible in Code View are free to use it. We're not going to force the issue like we do with the normal no-break space character, because nnbsp chars don't get destroyed like nbsp chars do. So there is no data-loss--no pressing need to automatically change them to entities to prevent their accidental destruction. There's only a desire to visually locate them more easily. And the current Sigil features already provide a way to do that.
