I just read this from the post above by daffy4u and would like some clarification:

"Subscription content can only be downloaded to one Kindle at a time, and only the seven most recent issues will be available for redownload in the Kindle Content Manager or from the Manage Your Kindle page."

If I understand this correctly, it would mean that if I subscribed to the New York Times, I would have not be able to access any issue older than 7 days if I deleted it from my Kindle. Is it possible to backup subscription content to my computer? What's the reasoning behind only making the 7 most recent issues available for redownload?

Sorry, I'm new to the Kindle world and did not notice this clause in my research.
