I'm afraid I don't see why, personally, but I'm happy to take your word for it. A cover is a cover, to my mind. As it happened, I have the official Amazon cover for my Voyage, but I've had all sorts of different third-party covers for readers over the years, and they've all (with one exception) been fine.

I think we're saying the same thing aren't we? That most people really didn't like the cover, so they sent it back for a refund?
I think it's just a really poor design. The Voyage cover also had a magnetic fastening, but at least it was a "clamshell" design, so it didn't fall off whenever you opened it. You need to have the cover physically clamped on in some way, I think, not just held by a weak magnet.
