I tend to agree with this; however, it's hard to extrapolate from two months. Length does seem to be a factor, but I also hope that with a longer lead time we can commit on occasion to a longer book.

This ties into gmw's comment; my nomination, Elmer Gantry was longish and also a terrific book made into a terrific movie, but the film did just tell the first chunk of the novel.
