deleting old highlights makes room for new ones
Dear community,
I have a Kindle Touch 6 I think. In my case, deleting old highlights does create space for new highlights. There is only one book in whose case it did not work, but in the case of the rest of the books (tens of them), it has worked every time. The only inconvenience is that I have to delete each individual quote separately. I wish there were a way to delete all old quotes in a book at once. I haven't found a way so I have to delete them one by one. Once I've deleted the old quotes, the next batch of new quotes will be exported to my e-mail address. And so on.
Here's a piece of advice, though: try exporting your quotes after the first hundred pages or so of the book, then delete them on your Kindle, then read the next hundred or so pages and make new highlights, export them to wherever, then delete them from your Kindle, and so on, as opposed to reading the whole book and highlighting throughout the book - the first tens of highlights will be exported in order, but only part of the rest of the highlights will be exported, and some will be missing, and it will be very difficult then to fix things.
