Amazon has announced a new slate of "Kindle Exclusives" for the week. Actually, many of the titles are carry-overs from last week. But there are still a lot of new ones, too.
It appears that all, or at least the great majority, of Kindle Exclusives are published by Amazon or one of its numerous imprints.
What the new list of Kindle Exclusives means is that there are a lot of new, cheap Whispersync deals to be had. It is obvious to me, at least, that Amazon has quit offering reasonably priced Whispersync narrations for all, or practically all, of the ebooks that it sells, _except for ebooks that it, or one of its imprints, publishes_. That still amounts to a lot of ebooks, however, because Amazon has, in the last few years, rather quietly gone about making itself into one of the largest publishers of paper-based books, ebooks, and audiobooks in the U.S.
Take a gander at the ebooks in the Kindle Exclusives for this week. For your convenience, I am giving the URL of those Kindle Exclusives with Whispersync narrations, sorted by price from low to high:

I also noticed that among the "Kindle Deals of the Month" there are _some_ great Whispersync deals to be had. I noticed, for example, that the WS deal for Billy Ray Cyrus' highly rated autobiography is only $2.98 (
