I haven't decided how I feel about this book. On one hand, it feels like a big F-U to any fan who ever negatively criticized one of her books. She used to comment on the Dear Author blog, and I can see some of those comments in this book (e.g., her feelings about readers who complain about how much cursing Eve does - I'm utterly convinced the scene at the end of Treachery in Death was written as taunt to her unhappy readers: "Didn't like the cursing? How about this?!")

Once I could get over feeling like she was insulting her a segment of her fan-base, it was an enjoyable story.
