I can't speak for anyone else, but if I read a whole book in one day then I've probably spent hours on it. On a weekday this might be my lunch hour plus a whole evening at home. On a weekend this might mean I spent a large part of Saturday sitting on the couch with a book. Many people don't have that many free hours in a day depending on work schedule, family obligations, child care, other hobbies and activities, etc.
