I am against having adds anywhere but that does not mean I would not ..tolerate them... We've had adds here at MR for a certain period. Never heard complaints of any kind and I finally got used to them, and got to be fascinated by the accuracy of their targeting. After a while I made a point at every thread to look at them, just for the fun of admiring that accuracy.

As long as those adds do not break the flow (pee break) of reading, the eye becomes trained to skip them altogether. Most of the ebooks I read are formated as an HTML where you can skip to a TOC and then directly to an actual chapter. Which can all be done without ever seing an add.

A DVD command locked type of advertizing is obnoxious to say the least and I would be firmly opposed to any such concept in a 'one story' ebook.
