You're actually asking a rather complicated question. I hope this can get you started:

To start, (as I recall) you need to jailbreak your Kindle in order to access the command line. See: https://wiki.mobileread.com/wiki/5_x_Jailbreak for instructions.

The most recent firmware update prevents you from applying a jailbreak.

If you don't have the most recent firmware, you may be able to jailbreak your device by following the instructions on the wiki carefully.
