Hmm, and you've never been able to open the files at all? It sounds like they were activated for another account or computer, perhaps. Can you re-download the ebx.etd file and open it in Acrobat 6.0 again?

Also, maybe they fixed this "problem" in Acrobat 6.01. The only one I've tried it with that absolutely works is Acrobat 6.0 Professional, Version 6.0.0, 2003-05-19 (it says that on the splash screen when you go to the "Help ... About Acrobat 6.0" menu).
