I tried the free sample of Intensivkurs Psychiatrie und Psychotherapie (German Edition) 8th Edition, Kindle Edition, which I believe is the book you are discussing.

The sample was delivered in KFX format to Kindle for Android and Kindle for iOS. It was delivered in KF8 (azw3) format to Kindle for PC and a Kindle Oasis 2.

Based on that I believe that my assumption was correct. That book uses a KFX feature not yet implemented in all Kindle software versions.


Added:

The list of KFX feature versions required to render that book is: CanonicalFormat=2.0, kfxgen.pidMapWithOffset=1, kfxgen.textBlock=1, reflow-section-size=6.0, reflow-style=5.0, yj_table=6.0, yj_table_viewer=2.0.

yj_table 6.0 is enhanced support for tables, not yet included in all reader software.
