As already stated in this thread, in order to receive KFX format from Amazon you have to allow the Oasis to download the book as opposed to using "Download & transfer via USB".

Amazon continues to add new features to the KFX format. If the same book downloaded directly from Amazon in AZW3 on the Oasis and in KFX on Kindle for PC it means that particular book uses a KFX feature that your Oasis firmware does not support. Make sure you have the latest firmware installed (version 5.9.2.0.1).

If your Oasis already has the latest firmware you may need to wait for a future firmware update to support the KFX features used in that book.


Added: I am curious about the particular book involved. Would you mind sharing the ASIN?
