Yep. So does my (one) eReader, the 8th Generation Kindle Basic. Of course I still get to see the ads because I'm too cheap to ransom the screen from them. Since it costs half what my refurbished Kindle cost, and since I don't know if this particular Kindle is going to make the "cut" in my (soon to happen) culling, I'm not sure I'll ever pay to "free the screen."
But if I did pay the ransom, would the 8th Generation Kindle Basic open directly to the book instead of a non-ad lock screen?
