I went straight from Stanza to Marvin 2 and eventually Marvin 3. Organization-wise, the little I’ve seen of MapleRead seems to be better than Marvin. Marvin also lacks automatic annotations syncing albeit it does provide versatile export options.
MapleRead and Hyphen are both under consideration but Hyphen seems too basic. While it does sync books via iCloud, I can’t find an option to batch download all synced books (either manual or automatically).
The page turn animations are a deal breaker for me, though. That’s the primary reason I wouldn’t switch to iBooks. Even Kindle, I’d convert to epub and read on Marvin.
