Mainly I'm thinking that Kobo is a relatively small company with a limited product line. I don't see them coming up with a specific device just for Walmart mainly because of the upfront cost with no guarantee that it will pay off in sales.

Besides, honestly, the Aura 2 is already a step down from it's similarly priced competition (the Glowlight 3 and the Paperwhite).
