For me, frontlit readers are the best ever improvement to them. I’d never go back to an unlit device.
I just turn the device off on the comparatively rare occasions I feel the need to clean the screen. I find, though, that keeping it in a cover and using buttons to turn the page, the screen stays pretty clean.
