Good thinking on some DIY for a case. That seems to be the trouble with many ereaders. There isn't a lot of protective cases. I have Otterbox for my phone, my work iPad (after dropping it and cracking the screen...) and a shockproof case for my Fire tablet. Didn't go the Otterbox route on that as it was cheap enough that I could replace it for twice the amount of an Otterbox! *laugh*
I am a klutz and do a lot of my reading during my commute. So there is a lot of shoving things into bags quickly. Though killed my Kobo Aura HD while sitting and reading while waiting for my daughter. Slipped out of my hands & fell on a concrete floor.
I just can't have nice things! *laugh*
