I meant the infrared sensor for screen touch, not for the buttons. Again, Sony DPT-S1 has such sensor and I don't know about any problems with it. It does not need any additional layer on top of the screen, so it is best suited for eink displays. Capacitive touch is poor choice for eink displays.
