By now it seems that Vlash was maybe just venting or trolling. The stock Kindle dictionaries are in fact the best out there (save for a small number of Pocketbook readers that were sold in Germany at one point and came with an even higher quality E-G dictionary) although the bilingual ones do not contain nearly as many entries as the monolingual English ones.
But of course, it is easy to add better ones from the shop or even from dict.cc following the method described on the blog I linked to.
