Looks like it is off the current selling price. I was looking at "Norse Mythology" by Neil Gaiman. It is one of the titles on special for the launch at $5.99. Once I claimed the coupon and opened up the title's page it showed as being available for $2.99.

BTW, the files are definitely protected. You can play them through the Google Play Books app. I'm out.
