@Katsunami - don't ask them to move, it's the last thing an elderly person with ambulatory problems (hip replacement, neuropathy, diabetes, stroke etc) wants to hear from a spry kid barely out of school.

And adopting a friendly facial expression and tone of voice will make the platitudinous 'pleases' and 'thank yous' unnecessary.
