Reading a few pages back I noticed you refer to 5.7.4 not being safe to downgrade to, as there's been recent reports of bootloops - if I can get a factory use image of 5.8.9.0.1 to stick on my kindle after disconnecting USB, is there a chance I can get a successful flash? Is this just in the territory of 'untested so can't advise you to do it'?
I can see people offering successful results with the PW3, on my firmware just a few pages back, which is adding to my confusion here.
For now, I'll do as advised and wait it out. I'll create the update blocker folder before connecting to WIFI, and ensure I stay on my current firmware until there is a supported jailbreak, or at least more information.
At this point I'm just curious why there seems to be so much contradicting information  |
What country are you in?
If I remember correctly : only Germany can potentially jailbreak their kindles.
That is why the contradicting information.
