Time being wrong isn't a bug. It should autosync the time when it has an internet connection. If you haven't connected in a while, it is inevitable that the clock would drift.

Accurate hardware clocks are expensive and power hungry. Cheap clocks may be poorly calibrated, but even if they are not, it is tricky to compensate for temperature induced drift. The oldest method to do so involves a crystal (expensive) with a temperature stabilized heater (power hungry) (aka ocxo). Those tend to be a bit big also and might not fit in the thinner devices.
