That tip has been around for years.
One caveat though: many stores also have their calorie laden beverages on the edge. One store it is next to dairy. Two others it is next to the butcher block. Another it is by the fruits.
Note: Calorie laden drinks include but are not limited to beer, wine, colas and teas.
