I think it's true for nearly everyone that e-ink ereaders are better for reading than tablets. For those people who can comfortably read on tablets that's less true but, I think, true just the same. I think people who prefer a tablet for reading pick it over an e-ink reader because it's good enough at reading and very good for other things they care about. The exceptions, of course, are people who need a larger screen to give them a reasonable amount of text with a very large font. We have a couple of those people in my retirement home.

I agree that goofy is right! Goofy was my intent. I suspect that quite a few people who own cars also own shoes. In fact I think in most states driving barefoot is illegal.
