Absolutely, they still make them! I sometimes use one of mine. The highest I paid for a fountain pen was $200, which is nothing compared to some of the prices out there.

There's a HUGE market for them.

Some important writers still use them. One that immediately comes to mind is John Barth, author of "Giles Goat Boy," "The Sot-Weed Factor", "Lost in the Fun House," "Chimera" [National Book Award for Best Novel], among others.
