Your process is not fully clear.
Take into account that it is an Android device and you are not limited to (you can use more than) the shipped note taking app (which you cannot currently test). So, if you know of an Android application that does the job, it will probably to very probably work well on the Max2.
We can test it for you, in case, if you tell us which software to test and how.
