Attitude not unusual

This attitude among copyright holders is not unusual.

There is a book, Berlin Embassy, published in 1941, and whose copyright was not renewed in 1969. I can't find when the author, a clerk in the embassy, died.

I look on Amazon and there is it with a copyright notice! Apparently it is for a commentary which is added and for the cover because the contents can not be under copyright!
