So I purchased a Kindle PW3 about 6 months ago and jailbroke it right away. I haven't messed with the firmware/software since. My device is running firmware 5.8.1.
The OP states a jailbreak is confirmed to survive updating up to 5.8.11. Does that apply for any jailbreak or only for the method described in this thread? (No idea whether I jailbroke using instructions from this thread or some other one.) Can I just grab a firmware and do an update normally or do I need to perform extra steps to preserve the jailbreak? Are there any compelling feature additions for me to want to jump to a newer firmware? Or should I just chill with 5.8.1 and not bother messing with anything?
